About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team at Phil Wave Boat Builder Co. Ltd. in Tanza, Cavite. As a fulltime Marine Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the diesel engines of our fleet of boats, ensuring they operate at peak performance and reliability. What you'll be doing

1. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair issues with marine diesel engines and associated systems
2. Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on diesel engines
3. Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
4. Collaborate with the wider engineering team to identify and implement improvements to efficiency and reliability
5. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations
6. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as required

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Marine Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role
2. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of marine diesel engine systems and components
3. Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve engine issues
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and rectify problems
5. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
6. Good communication skills to liaise with engineers, boat operators and other stakeholders
7. Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all work performed
