Job Description:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of menu items according to restaurant standards.
- Ensure ingredients are properly measured, portioned, and stored.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, including workstations, tools, and equipment.
- Support the Head Cook or Senior Chefs in daily operations and special functions.
- Follow recipes and instructions carefully to maintain food consistency and quality.
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring and reporting low supplies.
- Work efficiently with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Qualifications:
- At least College Graduate; Culinary Arts or related course preferred.
- With experience as a kitchen assistant, commis, or junior cook in a restaurant setting.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety practices.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.
- Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
