Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Steward to join our team in a dynamic hospitality environment. The Steward plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all food service operations run smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for food service and hospitality, who thrive in fast-paced settings.

Duties

  • Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas promptly to maintain a clean environment for guests.
  • Support food preparation efforts by assisting chefs and kitchen staff in assembling dishes and preparing ingredients.
  • Participate in banquet setups, ensuring that all necessary items are ready for events.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Perform cleaning duties including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Help with cooking tasks as needed, following established recipes and guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional food service by assisting servers during meal times and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Engage in catering activities as required, supporting the delivery of high-quality food experiences.
  • Handle food safely according to established food handling protocols to prevent contamination.
  • Collaborate effectively with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred, showcasing familiarity with culinary operations.
  • Experience in food service roles such as serving or catering is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices is essential.
  • Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail to maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with team members and guests alike.
