Warehouse Helper

Receiving and Storage:

• Unload incoming materials from trucks.
• Verify quantities against purchase orders and inspect items for damage.
• Store materials in designated locations efficiently and accurately.

Order Fulfillment:

• Pick, count, and pack orders for shipment or delivery.
• Ensure all items are accurately selected and properly labeled.

Inventory Management:

• Assist with regular stock counts and cycle counts.
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas.
• Update inventory records to reflect current stock levels.

Shipping and Loading:

• Transport packaged Items to designated loading areas.
• Load items securely onto delivery vehicles.
• Ensure all items are wrapped and secured for safe transit.

Material Handling:

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Use forklifts if certified, ensuring safe handling of materials.

Warehouse Maintenance:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Sweep floors, remove debris, and ensure a hazard-free environment.

Essential Skills and Requirements

Physical Stamina:

• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.

Teamwork and Communication:

• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Communicate clearly to support efficient workflow.

Attention to Detail:

• Accurately count, scan, and verify items.
• Match inventory with orders and delivery documents.

Safety Awareness:

• Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols.
• Consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Basic Equipment Operation:

• Proficient in using pallet jacks.
• Forklift operation may be required (certification preferred or provided).

Education:

• Minimum Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
• Preferred: Vocational training or certification in warehouse operations or forklift operation.
