I. JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Chief Radiation Therapy Technologist, the Radiation Therapy Technologist is responsible for implementation of precise radiation treatment delivery (EBRT and Brachytherapy) and provides patient with utmost care and safety.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs and documents radiation therapy procedures (CT-simulation & radiation treatment: EBRT & brachytherapy) in accordance to approved radiation treatment plan.

  2. Reviews radiation treatment prescription and plan summary prior to treatment delivery.

  3. Coordinates with the radiation oncologist, resident physician and medical physicist regarding treatment protocol and prescription.

  4. Accurately set-up patients during preparation of immobilization, CT-simulation and actual radiation treatment delivery.

  5. Provides and assess portal images prior to treatment delivery.

  6. Prepares treatment machines and treatment accessories such as immobilization devices, bolus and the likes during simulation and treatment.

  7. Observes and reports observable unusual reactions of patients undergoing radiation therapy to their attending radiation oncologist and or resident physician.

  8. Applies principles of radiation protection and safety at all times to patient, self and others.

  9. Provides utmost patient care and safety.

  10. Educates patient and their relatives regarding radiation treatment and its processes.

  11. Performs daily routine mechanical checkups of all treatment equipment.

  12. Observes, documents and reports functional problem of all equipment that may arise.

  13. Assists medical physicist in performing quality assurance.

  14. Assists maintenance engineer during conduction of preventive and corrective maintenance services.

  15. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the department.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php26,000.00 per month
