About the role

Ascendion is seeking a talented Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks to join our innovative team. As a Data Engineer (Databricks), you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipelines to power our data-driven initiatives. This is a full-time position based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

  1. Design and implement robust and scalable data pipelines using Databricks and other big data technologies
  2. Develop and optimise ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes to ensure the integrity and reliability of our data
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address their data needs
  4. Automate and streamline data ingestion, transformation, and distribution processes
  5. Monitor and maintain the health and performance of our data infrastructure
  6. Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve our data capabilities

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  2. Proficient in Databricks, Spark, and other big data technologies
  3. Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, including data modelling, ETL, and data warehousing
  4. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  5. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  7. Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable data solutions
