Beyond driving, they may handle tasks like loading/unloading, route planning, and basic vehicle maintenance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving:Safely operating company vehicles to transport personnel, goods, or materials to designated locations.
  • Loading/Unloading:Assisting with the loading and unloading of cargo, equipment, and materials.
  • Route Planning:Determining the most efficient routes for deliveries and pickups, considering traffic and road conditions.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:Performing routine inspections, basic maintenance (like checking oil and tire pressure), and reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
  • Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Communication:Communicating with dispatchers, other team members, and sometimes clients, to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
  • Adherence to Regulations:Following all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service:Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients or passengers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record is essential, with experience driving various vehicle types (vans, trucks, etc.).
  • Driving Skills: Strong driving skills, including the ability to handle different road conditions and weather.
  • Knowledge of Traffic Laws: Thorough understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Basic Vehicle Maintenance: Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Dependable and able to meet deadlines.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and handle heavy items, if required.
  • Professionalism: Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.

Job Type: Full-time
