The ELECTRICAL ENGINEER will be responsible for the planning, design, supervision, and implementation of electrical works in line with MERALCO standards and requirements. The role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of distribution line projects, service connections, and other MERALCO-related works, while also managing vendor performance, work orders, and crew assignments

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Review and evaluate electrical plans, designs, and load computations for MERALCO projects.
  • Coordinate with MERALCO for applications, permits, inspections, service connection approvals, and work order assignments.
  • Prepare and submit technical reports, project documentation, and as-built drawings.
  • Attend meetings and inspections with MERALCO representatives and other stakeholders.

Technical Oversight & Compliance

  • Supervise field installations, including distribution lines, transformers, metering systems, and service drops.
  • Ensure compliance with the Philippine Electrical Code, MERALCO guidelines, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning prior to energization.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement corrective measures during project execution.

Work Order & Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary liaison with vendors and manage their performance in terms of workmanship, data accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of work order details based on site data (e.g., failure reports, asset/location updates, and photo documentation).
  • Account for all materials, ensure they are assigned to the correct work order, and returned to Stores; submit supporting STF and STR documents.
  • Assign and oversee work orders, issue work packets, and track completion.
  • Report daily work accomplishments and progress to the Work Order (WO) Supervisor.

Resource & Crew Management

  • Monitor project progress, manpower deployment, and material usage to ensure timely and cost-efficient completion.
  • Manage daily crew complement, workload assignments, and availability of tools, workforce, and equipment (TWE).
  • Collaborate with linemen, foremen, vendors, and other technical staff to ensure smooth operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed/Registered Electrical Engineer (REE).
  • With at least 2–3 years of experience in MERALCO-related projects (service connections, distribution lines, or utility works) OR any related field.
  • Familiarity with MERALCO application procedures, standards, and technical requirements.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design software.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willing to travel and conduct site work as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
