Non-Negotiable Skills

  • IBM DataStage v11.5 or higher
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle, DB2, or similar RDBMS)
  • Windows and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting

Additional Required Tools & Skills

  • ETL Development and Data Integration Best Practices
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys)
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (e.g., Star/Snowflake schema, Slowly Changing Dimensions)
  • Experience with job monitoring and performance tuning in DataStage
  • Proficiency with data profiling and data quality tools
  • Working knowledge of REST/SOAP Web Services (preferred)
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodology
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design system-level and component-level solutions based on the Job Analysis and Solution Document; collaborate with System Analysts (SA) during the design phase.
  • Develop new ETL components or enhance existing ones based on specifications in the Job Design Document.
  • Create required artifacts including technical documentation, unit test results, and deployment instructions.
  • Conduct unit testing, peer reviews, and participate in QA activities in alignment with the project plan.
  • Perform deployment tasks such as migration, packaging, and release documentation.
  • Provide post-deployment support, including issue resolution and performance optimization.
  • Ensure proper version control and documentation for all developed components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DBAs, QA, Infra, PMs) to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ETL development with IBM DataStage.
  • Willing to work night and/or weekend shifts as needed.
  • Willing to work 100% onsite in BGC, Taguig City.

Job Type: Temporary

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month
