Role Description

The part-time Civil Engineering faculty member is primarily responsible for delivery of Outcome Based Teaching and Learning in assigned courses and sharing professional expertise with students in line with program requirements. Duties include preparing OBE-based course materials in a Learning Management System, delivering lectures and hands on learning where applicable, assessing student performance, and incorporating industry knowledge into classroom instruction.

Although part-time faculty instructors are not required to engage in research, they are encouraged to participate in one, as their industry experience is a rich source of information for research.

This role is ideal for industry professionals who wish to contribute to the academic formation of future engineers while continuing their practice in the profession.

Qualifications

  • Educational Attainment: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (is a plus).
  • Industry Experience: At least 3 years in structural design, construction, or related work.
  • Mentorship Ability: Skilled in guiding students in projects, internships, and board exam preparation.
  • Professional Licensure: Licensed Civil Engineer preferred.
  • Systems Compliance: Computer literate and must be proficient in web-based application such as email, School Information System, and LMS (experience in Moodle is a plus).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php Php450.00 per hour
