QAQC Engineer

QA/QC (Quality Assurance / Quality Control) Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that all construction activities, materials, and workmanship comply with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The QA/QC Engineer oversees the implementation of quality systems, conducts inspections and tests, and ensures that non-conformities are properly identified, documented, and resolved.

This role requires close coordination with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to monitor work quality throughout all stages of the project—from material approval and site execution to testing, commissioning, and project handover.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Develop and implement the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans.

 Inspect and verify construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings,

specifications, and standards.

 Review material submittals, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).

 Conduct site inspections and witness tests for materials and workmanship.

 Identify, report, and monitor non-conformities; ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

 Maintain and update QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, and test certificates.

 Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors regarding quality-related matters.

 Assist in audits, pre-inspection meetings, and final project handovers.

Educational Requirements

 Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

 Professional license an advantage but not required

 1 year of work experience in the related field

 Preferably 1-4 years experienced employee specializing in Quality Assurance and Quality Control in civil, structural and architectural works.

 Willing to be assigned in Metro Manila and/or provincial projects

Skills and Competencies Required

 Strong knowledge of construction materials, standards, and testing procedures.

 Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.

 Analytical and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

 Effective communication and documentation skills.

 Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
