The Instrument Man is responsible for conducting daily and weekly survey pickups of critical operational areas such as crest lines, toe lines, drill sites, roads, dumps, and stockpiles to support mapping, volume tracking, and operational planning. The role ensures accurate data capture using standard survey instruments and supports volume reporting for internal and client reconciliation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct daily and weekly survey pickups (e.g., crest lines, toe lines, roads, dumps, drill sites).

  2. Conduct topographic survey every end of the month for volume computation.

  3. Set out or mark locations for drilling, excavation, and stockpile boundaries based on the quarry plan.

  4. Operate and handle surveying equipment such as total station, leveling tools, RTK, and GPS under guidance from superiors.

  5. Record field data and submit field notes for checking and plotting.

  6. Coordinate with the Surveyor and site teams for smooth layout and pickup work.

  7. Perform other survey-related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. At least 2 years of college-level education in Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field

  2. Prior exposure to field survey work (i.e. internship or 6 months of related experience) is an advantage

  3. Basic knowledge of survey tools and field procedures

  4. Willingness to learn and follow instructions

  5. Good physical stamina for fieldwork

  6. Team player with clear communication skills
