The role of APAC Infrastructure Compliance is to provide regional governance and oversight over Infrastructure Functions operating across APAC locations to ensure that they operate consistently in accordance with Deutsche Bank Group policies and standards of conduct, and that Global Compliance initiatives are successfully implemented within the region.

The successful candidate will join the Infrastructure Compliance function with a primary focus on Infrastructure Compliance risks and related regulatory matters in APAC particularly.

Your key responsibilities:

• Advisory
  • Provide APAC and Hong Kong Infrastructure Functions with guidance and advice on Compliance, including new and amended DB Compliance policies and related country regulations
  • Review and provide comments to policy owners/authors on proposed new DB Compliance policies or amendments to existing policies
  • Work closely with Country Compliance and join senior management control and governance meetings to share and escalate material issues, developments and initiatives
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices
• Risk Assessment
  • Perform Risk Assessments on APAC Infrastructure Compliance functions.
• Infrastructure Compliance Initiatives
  • Support the rollout of global and regional/country initiatives to APAC and Hong Kong Infrastructure Functions
  • Serve as the point of contact to coordinate between Project Teams and Country Compliance
  • Send communications, track status and provide such further assistance as may be necessary or appropriate to support implementation of the initiatives
• Training & Awareness
  • Identify training needs and develop classroom training / awareness sessions to supplement eLearning, and coordinate with the Regulatory Training Team to ensure proper recording / data administration of completed training
• Communications
  • Develop and implement a communications plan for the issuance of Compliance related alerts, primers, FAQs and reminders
• Data Leakage
  • Assist Surveillance, Information Security and the relevant Compliance teams in investigating data leakage incidents, including client confidentiality breaches, and identifying appropriate remedial action
  • Generate Management Information on APAC / Hong Kong data leakage incidents as required
• Outsourcing
  • Provide guidance and support to Business Units/Divisions in performing outsourcing determinations and Compliance risk assessments relating to new outsourcing arrangements and review of changes in existing engagements
  • Support implementation of updates and changes in the Third Party Risk Management framework, including ensuring that country outsourcing requirements are embedded in the system
• Management Information (MI) and reporting
  • Generate such reports relating to Compliance and regulatory matters as may be needed by Infrastructure Compliance on an ad hoc basis

Your skills and experience:

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment affecting the banking industry
• Knowledge of financial instruments and banking products and Investment Banking business

General Competencies

• Demonstrated ability to support/manage projects or change initiatives
• Proven experience in business and data analysis and problem solving
• Structured and self-managed, demonstrating a high level of diligence and attention to detail and commitment to ensuring consistently high-quality output whilst working to tight deadlines
• Results orientated and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• A desire to learn, great interpersonal skills and the ability to influence will provide the foundation to be successful in the role
• Proven ability to manage and maintain stakeholder relationships across all levels

Work Experience

• Likely to have experience in the banking / financial industry, preferably in a multinational organization
• Worked in a compliance and/or risk management role involving regulatory risk covering one or more of the following: technology, cybersecurity, operations and outsourcing
• Likely to have familiarity with Hong Kong and APAC banking regulations

Education

• A bachelor's degree from a Tier 1 educational institution

Language Skills

• English - Excellent oral and written communication skills including report writing experience

Software Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
