Overview

We are seeking a
Conveyancing Paralegal
to support our legal and conveyancing operations with a strong focus on Australian property law. The ideal candidate is either an
Australian-qualified lawyer with conveyancing experience
or a
Philippine-trained lawyer with relevant exposure to Australian property and conveyancing matters
. The successful hire will assist in preparing contract-related advice, reviewing documentation, and supporting the team across ACT and NSW jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing conveyancing advice, documentation, and client correspondence.
  • Review contracts and answer standard questions related to property transactions, including ACT and NSW conveyancing processes.
  • Conduct legal research and provide preliminary interpretations of contract clauses and conveyancing requirements.
  • Coordinate with onshore professionals to ensure all advice and documents meet Australian legal standards.
  • Support the team in managing end-to-end conveyancing workflows, ensuring timely and accurate outputs.
  • Utilize AI-generated drafts and refine them under the guidance of a qualified lawyer.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records, files, and documentation related to property transactions.
  • Perform administrative and legal support tasks as required by the conveyancing team.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Australian-qualified lawyer
    with experience in conveyancing; or
  • PH-trained lawyer
    with demonstrable experience in Australian property law or conveyancing.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with
    ACT and NSW conveyancing laws and processes
    .
  • Previous exposure to reviewing contracts of sale, transfer documents, and related property documentation.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of property law principles and conveyancing procedures.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and document-review skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in legal drafting.
  • Ability to interpret legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both offshore and onshore teams.
  • Adaptability in using AI tools to assist with legal drafting and research.
