About the role
This is a full-time position as a Marine Electrician at Phil Wave Boat Builder Co. Ltd. in Tanza Cavite. As a Marine Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on boats and ships. This is a critical role within the company, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical components on our vessels.
What you'll be doing
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting, and power systems on boats and ships
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, and implement appropriate solutions
- Perform periodic inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers and mechanics, to coordinate electrical work
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all electrical work performed
What we're looking for
- Qualified as an Electrical/Electronic Engineer, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a marine or maritime environment
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, including AC and DC circuitry, motors, and control systems
- Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
- Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and stakeholders
- Familiar with relevant safety regulations and standards for the marine industry
