Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a skilled bookkeeper supporting multiple clients through a fractional CFO firm structure. You'll handle diverse accounting scenarios from complex book cleanup and remediation projects to ongoing monthly maintenance, ensuring accurate financial records that enable informed business decisions. This role offers variety and growth potential, working with different business models and industries while developing your expertise in both routine bookkeeping and challenging financial restructuring projects.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate monthly bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries
  • Transform disorganised financial records through comprehensive cleanup and reorganisation projects
  • Manage financial data in QuickBooks (primary platform) and Xero accounting systems
  • Handle ongoing compliance requirements and transactional recording with precision
  • Support multiple client relationships simultaneously through the fractional CFO model
  • Participate in scheduled client meetings and communications during core availability hours
  • Contribute to higher-level financial analysis and CFO advisory work as opportunities arise
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (essential for success)
  • Experience with Xero accounting software (highly preferred)
  • Proven ability to clean up disorganised books and implement proper accounting procedures
  • Capability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for professional client interactions
  • Flexibility to work core hours 8-10 AM client time zone with additional flexible scheduling
  • Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup for remote work
