Depot Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Forward Deployment Center Depot Supervisor is responsible for safe operation of cranes, forklifts and cable equipment to efficiently load and offload cable systems from vessels to the FDC. This position is responsible for supervising hundreds of stevedores. The Depot Supervisor performs periodic maintenance of and maintenance scheduling for all buildings, equipment, and grounds.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Supervise cable transfers at the FDC to support 24-hour operations.
• Warehouse management
• Inventory Management
• Facility Management
• Physical security presence in FDC during normal working hours and on call in emergency situations.
• Ensure all contractors that are working onsite are always working to the safety standard.
• Responds to multiple assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must be willing to work in cable tanks and containers to assist with loading and offloading of system cables and electronics.
• Must pass and maintain a Marine Fit for Duty and a certified STCW Basic Safety Training class.
• Must be able to travel a minimum of 40% of the time and work at remote locations and Vessels.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
• Possess the ability to react to changes of responsibility throughout the day.
• Must have the flexibility to respond to multiple assignments.
• Ability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to speak, read and write English fluently.
