PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

The Network Administrator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of various software applications within the organization. This role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications to ensure their optimal performance and availability.

The Network Administrator will work closely with the IT Manager, other IT team members and third-party vendors to provide technical assistance to end-users and maintain a stable application environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Install, configure, and update software applications across different environments
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operation
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving application-related problems and answering queries
  • Tracks up to closure all application-related issues and requests assigned to him/her and updates the users regarding the statuses of their requests
  • Escalate complex issues to supervisor and/or 2 Level Application Support (internal or external)
  • Create and maintain documentation related to application configurations and troubleshooting procedures
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as patching, updates, and security checks
  • Test new application versions and configurations before deployment.
  • Perform routine I.T. governance processes such as backups, security checks, and resource analysis, to ensure that systems are operating effectively and efficiently
  • Performs pre-approved Change Requests such as account creation, password reset, etc.

REQUIREMENT

  • The Application Administrator must possess at least a two-year associate degree or a four-year bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field
  • Technical courses in software and hardware installations, operating systems, spreadsheet applications, troubleshooting, networking, scripting and advanced database manipulation will be advantageous
  • Must have at least 2 years work experience as an Application Administrator
  • With IT certifications and program courses like SQI, Java, APIs, etc.
