JOB DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Assistant Manager provides financial information to top management for decision-making. He/she reports to the management with regards to the finances of the organization or project/s. The duties of the Assistant Manager include the preparation and analysis of periodic reports showing the project's profitability and monitoring of costs. He/she oversees the project's bank accounts and properties/assets, determines the appreciate ledger reconcile the company's accounts and ledgers, reviews various ledgers and reports, prepares project payroll, prepares and reviews Financial statements, and handling other duties that may be assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the AVP-Finance in:

Establishing and implementing internal controls

Ensuring Accounting Policies and Procedures are in accordance with statutory

regulations and industry standard.

  • Ensure the implementation of proper accounting system for bookkeeping, operational support/MIS in accordance with best industry practices
  • Ensure the proper and timely preparation and submission of reports, and in presenting to the top management

Review of the following reports

  • Reviews Subsidiary ledger of bank loan and other payables
  • Review disbursement vouchers, journal vouchers, payable vouchers, and general

journals

  • Reviews Property & Equipment Lapsing schedules (In-House and BIR)
  • Review liquidation of employees advances and entries to Peachtree/accounting system

Preparation of reports:

  • Provide financial information for decision making
  • Preparation of projected cash flow and monitoring of actual cost (determining causes of variances)
  • Preparation of cost monitoring reports

  • Coordinates with project manager and/or planning regarding the project's budget, schedule of activities, and monitoring of actual cost

  • Identifies causes of variances between budget and actual cost

  • Prepares annual financial statements/periodic financial statements (where required)

  • Preparation of pro forma statements for Ioan purposes or project feasibility
  • Review of Financial Statements with external auditors

Approve:

  • Financial Accounting System including Chart of Accounts
  • Approves General Journal Entries
  • Approves Accounts Payable Vouchers
  • Take charge of taxation matters. Ensure the proper and timely preparation of all accounting records in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements
  • Reviews accounts schedule fer in-house/BIR compliance purposes
  • Reviews Annual Income Tax Return for Bill compliance
  • Reviews VAT remittances for BIR compliance
  • Reviews summary of Expanded Withholding Taxes for BIR compliance

  • Managing project's payroll

  • Perform any other task assigned by the AVP-Finance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Accounting, preferably CPA
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and with knowledge in Accounting software
  • Experience in Project Monitoring and Cost Accounting
  • Motivated, bright, and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines
  • Has experience coordinating with various stakeholders
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years prior supervisory experience in Accounting/Finance

Pay: Php35, Php40,000.00 per month
