CI/Collector

Position Summary:

Responsible for conducting background checks, validating information of loan applicants, and assessing creditworthiness to support accurate lending decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field investigation and background verification of loan applicants.
• Validate applicant information such as residence, employment, business background, and credit history.
• Interview neighbors, employers, co-makers, and references.
• Inspect business operations and evaluate income capacity of clients.
• Prepare and submit detailed CI reports with findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with the Credit/Loans Department for clarifications and follow-up requirements.
• Ensure all gathered information is accurate, complete, and confidential.
• Verify authenticity of submitted documents (IDs, permits, proof of income).
• Assist in assessing risk level of each applicant.
• Perform site visits for delinquent accounts when necessary.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct follow-ups for due and past-due accounts via call, text, visit, or email.
• Coordinate with customers for payment schedules and settlement arrangements.
• Prepare daily collection reports and update payment records.
• Conduct field collection and handle pick-up of payments when needed.
• Negotiate and assist clients in creating repayment plans for delinquent accounts.
• Investigate and validate reasons for non-payment.
• Endorse accounts for legal action or higher management review when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all collection activities.
• Ensure proper turnover of collected cash and documents.
• Work closely with the accounting and loans department for reconciliations.
• Provide customer service regarding billing concerns.

Qualifications:

• College graduate or at least 2-year related experience.
• With background in field investigation, micro-lending, or related work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and willing to do fieldwork.
• Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
• Preferably with motorcycle and valid driver's license.
