Job Summary
The Commissary Crew is responsible for the preparation, packaging, inventory control, and distribution of commissary items in a secure, organized, and timely manner. This position ensures the cleanliness and proper stocking of the commissary area while following all safety and sanitation regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and pack commissary orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies or shortages.
- Follow all facility regulations, especially those related to security, hygiene, and safety.
- Assist in unloading, receiving, and stocking inventory from delivery trucks.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and commissary storage areas regularly.
- Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and (when applicable) facility staff or inmates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least High school diploma
- Prior experience in food service, retail, warehouse, or commissary operations is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to lift up to 25kgs and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment.
Work Environment:
- May involve exposure to hot, cold, or humid environments.
- Must adhere to strict facility guidelines and security protocols.
