Job Description

The Senior Cloud Engineer leads the creation and management of highly secure and scalable cloud architectures. The role oversees project delivery, efficient coding, and infrastructure configuration, actively resolving complex software issues and contributing to innovative improvements.

Design, Develop, and Manage Cloud Solutions

  • Lead the design, construction, and management of highly secure, scalable, and available cloud architectures in the target cloud environment for medium scale projects in close coordination with development and project teams.
  • Contributes to the selection of the development and deployment methods, tools and techniques.
  • Automate complex cloud workflows. Design and implement advanced automation scripts using IaC tools to streamline cloud infrastructure management and deployments.
  • Lead the configuration of cloud infrastructure components, including networking and security services.
  • Lead the conversion of technical component designs into efficient back-end or front-end code.
  • Implement security best practices and monitor cloud security posture.

Deliver Optimized Cloud Applications

  • Collaborates with developers and architects to understand application requirements and translate them into optimized cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead the deployment and migration process for optimal cloud performance.
  • Utilize expertise to diagnose and resolve critical cloud infrastructure or application deployment problems.
  • Analyze cloud resource utilization and recommend cost-saving measures while maintaining performance and security.
  • Review code and designs for scalability, performance optimization, adherence to technical requirements, and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain Unit Tests for applications before Quality Assurance (QA) testing to ensure the performance, scalability, and security of cloud resources provisioned.
  • Collaborate with the testing team to ensure seamless application integration with cloud services (Application interaction with cloud services like databases or storage)
  • Maintain and handle project source code repositories.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or any related course.
  • At least 5+ years of working experience in developing websites, web applications, web services, or mobile applications.
  • Main capability is AWS
  • With at least 2 years work experience as a Cloud Engineer in roles such as Software Engineer, System Administrator, Network Administrator, DevOps Engineer is valuable. Must at least have 1 Certification (Professional / Expert Level) in any of the cloud platforms.
  • Working with Orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Terraform.
  • Working in a DevSecOps project environment.
  • Deploying Infrastructure as Code within a cloud environment.
  • Developing a cloud architecture with various solutions addressing computing, storage solutions, security measures, networking, and automation capabilities.
  • Container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Object-Oriented Design and Programming
  • HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript frameworks
  • MySQL, MongoDB, or similar database management systems
  • Web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
