About the Role:
The Claims Analyst is responsible for processing claims data for our Bermuda Reinsurance Operations. Reporting to the AVP Claims, you will work closely as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and confirm coverage for all incoming reinsurance claims across property and specialty lines of business based on contract terms
• Review of client documents and broker statements for accuracy
• Processing and updating all claims including: loss payments, loss refunds, reserve movements and reinstatement premium in SICS
• Completion of allocated claims notices within standard industry times
• Ensure compliance with internal corporate guidelines, processes and procedures
• Analyze and review support for letters of credit
• Maintenance of electronic files across various platforms
• Assist with preparing support for internal and external audits
Qualifications:
• Experience built in complex reinsurance claims handling, including fundamental knowledge of claims and reserving process and reinsurance policy terms and conditions
• Experience with reading and interpreting reinsurance contracts
• Well-developed knowledge of the reinsurance industry claims and the insurance legal, compliance and regulatory environment.
• Experience with underwriting/claims systems - DXC SICS is preferred, but not required
• Developed problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization is essential.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
