About the role

Versa Group Philippines Corporation is seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Technician to join our dynamic team. As an IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our company's IT infrastructure. This full-time position is based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Proxmox VE clusters, virtual machines, and containers
• Manage and migrate virtual environments across Proxmox, VMware, and Hyper-V
• Implement and support Synology NAS for storage and backup solutions
• Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and efficient storage management
• Assist with network configurations related to virtual environments
• Manage backups, snapshots, and disaster recovery plans
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for our employees' hardware and software issues
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and peripherals
• Monitor and maintain the company's IT systems, including servers, workstations, and network devices
• Perform regular system backups and ensure data is properly secured
• Resolve any IT-related problems or incidents
• Provide guidance to users on the efficient use of IT systems and applications
• Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends and technologies to recommend and implement improvements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience with Proxmox VE in a production environment
• Familiarity with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and storage systems
• Experience with Synology DSM, including shared folders, iSCSI, and backup tools
• Comfortable with Linux and command-line environments
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Proficient in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and systems
• Knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software, as well as the ability to diagnose and resolve network-related issues
• Familiarity with IT security best practices, including data backup and recovery procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist and train users
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals
