Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel in day-to-day operations within the paper manufacturing plant.
  • Plan, assign, and review maintenance work orders, preventive maintenance (PM), and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all machines—such as paper machines, boilers, pulpers, pumps, compressors, and conveyors—are properly maintained.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to prevent or minimize production interruptions.
  • Coordinate installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and modifications to existing systems.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize energy efficiency, equipment performance, and cost reduction.
  • Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, engineering drawings, and spare parts inventory.
  • Enforce plant safety standards, ensuring compliance with environmental and occupational health regulations.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and safety departments to meet overall plant goals.
  • Prepare maintenance and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets and monitor expenses.

Qualifications:

Educational Attainment:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Licensed Engineer (Registered Mechanical Engineer or Registered Electrical Engineer) preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or maintenance within a paper manufacturing, pulp, or industrial plant environment.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong background in preventive maintenance systems, utilities (boiler, air compressor, water treatment), and equipment troubleshooting.
