Product Design Manager

We are looking for a Product Design Manager to lead and grow the design team (including Product Designers and Visual Designers), shaping intuitive, beautiful, and impactful experiences across the company's products and mobile apps we deliver to our customers. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership—driving design quality, operational excellence, and user experience innovation that delights event attendees, exhibitors, and organizers.

What you'll do

Leadership & Team Development

● Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Product Designers and Graphic/Visual Designers, fostering creativity, collaboration, and a user-centered culture aligned with the company's values.

● Provide coaching, feedback, and career growth opportunities, ensuring each designer thrives in their craft and impact.

Design Vision & Strategy

● Define and communicate a design vision and strategy that elevates the user experience, strengthens the company's premium brand offering, and aligns with product strategy and business objectives.

● Partner with Product Management and Engineering leadership to co-create product success metrics, inform the roadmap, and integrate the design strategy into overall product planning.

● Ensure that the product design remains highly configurable, empowering customers to design and tailor the mobile apps to reflect their brand and meet the unique needs of each of their events.

Design Systems & Process Excellence

● Lead the creation and evolution of scalable design systems, pattern libraries, and documentation to maintain user experience consistency and efficiency across platforms.

● Establish and optimize design team workflows - including design reviews, sprint rituals, and design to engineering handoffs to drive high-quality outputs and collaboration.

User Research & Insights

● Lead user research initiatives, blending qualitative and quantitative methods to inform design decisions.

● Conduct and oversee usability testing, field studies at live events, and iterative validation of designs.

Design Execution & Delivery

● Oversee and contribute to the delivery of high-quality design outputs - including wireframes, prototypes, interaction patterns, polished UI, and customer branding - for iOS, Android, and web.

● Ensure all experiences are accessible, performant, and aligned with the company's product and usability standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration

● Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to align on strategy, user needs, and business goals.

● Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, clients, and leadership with clarity and impact.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

● Define and track design KPIs (e.g., user satisfaction, task success rate), continuously refining design processes and deliverables based on results.

What you bring

● 5+ years of professional product and visual design experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

● Proven success building and scaling design systems and operational frameworks in an agile environment.

● Expertise in process design and improvement, from design review methodologies to cross-functional collaboration practices.

● Strong strategic thinking, coupled with the ability to contribute hands-on to detailed design work along with the team.

● Deep knowledge of usability principles, accessibility standards, and user research best practices.

● High-level proficiency in Figma design tools is a must.

● Experience designing for both mobile (iOS, Android) and responsive web platforms.

● Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with comfort engaging stakeholders at all levels.

● Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry shifts and emerging tools, applying fresh practices to elevate design quality and drive innovation.

● Experience in the events industry and/or with highly configurable mobile products is a significant asset.
