Summary:
The Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hospital's housekeeping and laundry services. This role ensures that all patient rooms, clinical areas, and public spaces are clean, sanitary, and presentable, while also maintaining an efficient laundry service that meets hospital hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Coordination
o Lead, schedule, and supervise housekeeping and laundry staff.
o Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure compliance with hospital policies and cleanliness standards.
o Conduct daily inspections of patient rooms, wards, public areas, and laundry facilities.
- Cleaning and Sanitation
o Ensure all areas meet hospital infection control and sanitation protocols.
o Oversee proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
o Implement cleaning schedules for different hospital zones.
- Laundry Operations
o Supervise the washing, drying, folding, and distribution of hospital linens, uniforms, and other washable items.
o Ensure laundry is processed according to hospital infection control guidelines.
o Monitor inventory and quality of linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies.
- Training and Compliance
o Train staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and infection prevention measures.
o Ensure compliance with occupational safety, hospital regulations, and government health standards.
o Keep updated with best practices in hospital housekeeping and laundry management.
- Inventory and Maintenance
o Manage housekeeping and laundry supply inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
o Report and coordinate maintenance of cleaning and laundry equipment.
o Track supply usage and prepare purchase requests.
- Reporting and Administration
o Maintain records of staff schedules, attendance, and performance.
o Submit reports on housekeeping and laundry activities to management.
o Address and resolve patient, staff, or visitor complaints related to cleanliness and linen services.
Job Type: Full-time
