Multimedia artists are typically responsible for creating two- and three-dimensional designs and illustrations using modeling software or by writing their own code. Depending on their preferences, some multimedia artists may work directly with modeling software or first draft their illustrations by hand and later translate the images into computer programs.

  • Use relevant computer programs and illustration software
  • Create graphics and animation through a variety of techniques
  • Research materials and design approaches for upcoming projects
  • Come up with concepts for 2D and 3D art
  • Develop graphic storyboards according to storylines
  • Install special effects within movie and television media
  • Collaborate with a team of creatives to produce large media projects
  • Interface with clients, managers and other professionals to establish project timelines
  • Manage projects, adhere to deadlines and ensure they successfully meet client needs
  • Edit graphics and animation according to client, manager and designer feedback
