Job Summary

A Motor Vehicle Emission Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring that motor vehicles comply with environmental regulations regarding emissions. The technician uses specialized equipment to measure pollutant levels and determines whether a vehicle meets emission standards. This role requires TESDA certification and knowledge of emission control systems.

  • Conduct vehicle emission tests using TESDA-approved testing equipment
  • Perform visual inspections of emission control devices (e.g., catalytic converters, exhaust systems).
  • Identify excessive emissions and determine compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of emission testing equipment.
  • Ensure vehicles comply with government emission standards set by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
  • Diagnose malfunctioning emission systems and provide basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist mechanics in performing repairs on fuel, exhaust, and emission control systems.
  • Explain test results to vehicle owners and recommend solutions for failed tests.
  • Follow TESDA guidelines and safety procedures in conducting emission tests.
  • Ensure the testing facility remains clean and compliant with safety protocols.

Working Experience

  • At least 1 year working experience or any related industry

Educational Background

  • At least High School graduate with TESDA NCII Certification in Automotive Servicing

Working Schedule

  • Monday to Thursday - 7am to 6pm and every Friday 7am to 4pm

Location

  • LTO - Batangas City
