Payroll Service Delivery Lead

About the job:
The main responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for both in-house and outsourced teams. This includes handling employee pay, deductions, withholdings, commissions, and bonuses while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Team Lead, spending about 90% of time on supervisory tasks and 10% on actual payroll processing.
- Act as an escalation point and provide backup support to the Associate Manager and other team leads.
- Partner with other leads to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct monthly coaching sessions and provide performance feedback to direct reports.
- Take full accountability for payroll processes and transactions.
- Processing and releasing employee pay to bank accounts
- Conducting payroll audits
- Preparing general ledger feeds
- Generating payroll reports
- Distributing vendor/government data as required
- Performing post-payrun activities
- Calculating gross-to-net pay
- Ensure consistent service delivery, balancing team staffing needs with operational efficiency and financial objectives.
- Carry out quality assurance checks and informally oversee junior team members in terms of payroll quality and accuracy.
