Purpose
The Virtual Business Development Manager drives company growth by strengthening Axis's
brand identity, expanding digital market presence, and cultivating strong client
relationships through virtual channels. This position integrates marketing, CRM analytics,
and business development strategy to generate qualified opportunities, support leadership
visibility, and expand Axis's end-user and partnership base.
1. Brand Identity & Digital Presence
Objective: Strengthen brand visibility and authority across digital platforms to enhance
market credibility and client trust.
 Maintain and continually update Salesforce CRM with all client, lead, and project data,
ensuring accurate bid tracking and opportunity analytics.
 Use Salesforce AI Einstein tools to identify emerging opportunities, analyze client
behavior, and generate predictive insights for business development.
 Manage website SEO, content, and mobile optimization monthly through internal or
external partners (e.g., IPRS).
 Develop and execute a data-driven content strategy (blogs, newsletters, case studies,
client spotlights) aligned with high-traffic industry keywords.
 Manage LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms with consistent posting,
engagement, and analytics reporting.
 Coordinate industry award submissions (minimum five annual StarNet Design Awards
and one "Dream Team" collaboration project).
 Create and distribute press releases, thought-leadership pieces, and digital articles
highlighting Axis's innovation and market leadership.
 Track and report monthly digital analytics, including website visits, social engagement,
lead conversions, and campaign ROI.
2. Business Development Initiatives
Objective: Expand market share and revenue by building lasting relationships, increasing
end-user business, and driving strategic partnerships.
 Conduct market research to identify new client opportunities, trends, and competitive
positioning.
 Develop and maintain target lists of general contractors, property managers,
developers, and direct owners, ensuring regular follow-up and engagement.

 Perform bid follow-up activities on all open opportunities within Salesforce; ensure
follow-up logs, outcomes, and win/loss reasons are accurately documented.
 Analyze bid follow-up data and CRM metrics to identify performance trends, win ratios,
and high-value client segments.
 Coordinate virtual client meetings, proposal presentations, and follow-up
communications with sales and estimating teams.
 Support initiatives to grow end-user and direct-owner business to represent 30% of
total company revenue.
 Launch and manage a Client Advocacy Program to measure satisfaction, loyalty, and
retention.
 Prepare and distribute quarterly business development reports summarizing progress,
pipeline velocity, and conversion rates.
 Identify and coordinate participation in virtual or hybrid industry expos, conferences,
and association events to expand brand exposure.
 Develop national partnerships and cross-market initiatives to expand Axis's geographic
reach.
3. Marketing Integration & Client Presentation Materials
Objective: Ensure cohesive alignment between marketing, sales, and client engagement.
 Collaborate with the marketing team to synchronize all campaigns and client outreach
strategies.
 Design and produce marketing materials, digital brochures, slide decks, and proposal
templates for client presentations.
 Manage Salesforce email marketing campaigns, drip sequences, and follow-up
workflows to maintain consistent communication with clients.
 Collect and curate client testimonials, project photography, and case studies for use in
marketing and sales collateral.
 Assist in creating visual dashboards and digital proposals that communicate project
success metrics, awards, and capabilities.
4. Reporting & Analytics
Objective: Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and optimize business
development performance.
 Monitor and interpret CRM analytics for lead conversion rates, bid win ratios, pipeline
velocity, and client segmentation.
 Use Salesforce Einstein AI tools to automate forecasting, detect patterns, and generate
actionable insights for leadership.
 Prepare monthly and quarterly reports highlighting business development KPIs, digital
engagement metrics, and bid analytics.
 Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on trends and performance
data.

5. Executive Support & Strategic Partnership
Objective: Provide executive-level administrative and strategic support to the CEO to ensure
alignment, efficiency, and execution across company initiatives.
 Work as a personal administrative executive assistant and strategic partner to the CEO,
actively participating in daily activities and communications.
 Assist in scheduling, coordinating, and preparing materials for executive meetings and
strategic planning sessions.
 Monitor progress on CEO-driven projects and provide timely updates, follow-ups, and
documentation.
 Support communication flow between the CEO and leadership team, ensuring clarity,
consistency, and follow-through on key initiatives.
 Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in managing sensitive business
information.
Qualifications & Skills
 Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Development.
 Minimum 3+ years of experience in B2B marketing, virtual business development, or
sales operations.
 Proficiency in Salesforce CRM (mandatory) with hands-on experience using Salesforce
AI Einstein Analytics.
 Strong skills in data analysis, CRM reporting, and digital campaign performance
tracking.
 Demonstrated experience in SEO, content marketing, and social media management.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create professional
digital presentations.
 Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities virtually.
 Familiarity with construction, architecture, or design industries is preferred but not
required.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
 Maintain 100% accuracy in Salesforce CRM data and consistent weekly updates.
 Achieve 90% bid inclusion rate and provide bid analytics for leadership reporting.
 Increase end-user and direct-owner business to 30% of total company revenue.
 Submit at least five award entries annually and one major collaborative design project.
 Grow social media engagement by 25% and website traffic by 20% within the first year.
 Demonstrate measurable improvement in pipeline velocity, win ratios, and client
satisfaction metrics.
