Job Overview

The Manufacturing Assistant Manager oversees day-to-day production operations to ensure output meets required volume, quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The role directs production activities, drives continuous improvement, ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and supports innovation within the assigned production area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule production activities based on forecasts, demand, and operational requirements.
  • Lead and control daily operations in the assigned area to ensure smooth workflow and consistent output.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, equipment enhancements, and opportunities for operational innovation.
  • Review and validate accurate, timely production reports and other operational documentation required by management.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and resolve operational issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in plant or production operations within the food manufacturing industry.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a food production environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food processing technology and production systems.
  • Experience in conducting production trainings, seminars, and orientation programs is an advantage.
