Medical Transcriptionist/Quality Assurance/ Medical Record Review

Seeking medical transcriptionist to type out medical reports from audio dictations, to summarize medical records from PDFs and perform Quality Review of medical Reports. Must have all necessary equipment, i.e. pedal, headset, etc. Voice files are usually MP3 formats.

We have doctors that work with us that are not native English speakers and have accents that may make it difficult to transcribe. For that reason we ask that applicants have previous experience with ESL doctors.

When doing medical record reviews, the candidate will review a volume of records and summarize the findings in a templated document in advance of the doctors seeing the patient.

Applicant will then apply gained medical knowledge and common sense principles to reviewing the medical reports for discrepancies, contradictions, etc and bring these up to the author (i.e. medical provider) for resolution.

Completed reports will be uploaded to secure servers to the referring agencies.

Applicants will work 8 AM to 5 PM PST (California, USA) with a one-hour lunch break. Probationary period of 90 days. Hours can change to daytime shift with some US business hours arranged into new schedule once probationary period is satisfied and candidate has proven to be independent and productive.

Please note, we will NOT train you to be a transcriber and that you will know medical terminology required for that purpose. We expect that you will have that knowledge in advance. We will train you on how to prepare and complete our reports for our clients.

Work is paid by month at a rate of 500 USD monthly. If you are seeking to be paid by the line or by the piece, please do not apply.
