Job Title: Waitress / Waiter

Job Overview:

The waitress is responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a good understanding of food and beverage menus, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting and Seating Guests:

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Guide guests to their tables and present menus.

Taking Orders:

• Take food and drink orders accurately.
• Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations as needed.
• Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff.

Serving Food and Beverages:

• Serve food and beverages promptly and in a professional manner.
• Ensure that orders are delivered correctly and address any issues or changes.

Checking on Guests:

• Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals.
• Address any concerns or special requests promptly and efficiently.

Handling Transactions:

• Process payments, including cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Provide change and receipts as needed.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

• Keep tables, chairs, and the dining area clean and organized.
• Assist with setting up and clearing tables.

Collaborating with Team:

• Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waitstaff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist colleagues with tasks during busy periods.

Complying with Health and Safety Standards:

• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Adhere to restaurant policies and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints or special requests.
• Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tables and tasks efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in taking orders and delivering them.
• Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.

Experience and Education:

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not always required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Training may be provided on the job.
  
  Willing to be assigned in BF Homes Parañaque.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced restaurant or café setting.
• May involve working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
