Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Forestry Technician located in Surigao del Sur. The Forestry Technician will be responsible for managing and maintaining forested areas, monitoring wildlife, conducting timber assessments, and engaging in wildland firefighting activities. Day-to-day tasks include conducting field surveys, collecting data on forest conditions, assisting in conservation efforts, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Skills in Forestry and Forest management
- Experience with Timber and timber assessments
- Knowledge of Wildlife monitoring and conservation
- Wildland Firefighting capabilities
- Experience in environmental data collection and analysis
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and in challenging outdoor conditions
- Relevant certifications or degrees in forestry or related fields are a plus
