Job Summary:
The Private Cook will be responsible for helping the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and serving high-quality meals tailored to the preferences and dietary requirements of the household. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Meal Planning & Preparation
Help in the preparation of weekly menus based on client preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal ingredients.
- Help in the preparation of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as requested.
- Ensure in helping the Head Chef to prepare meals that are nutritious, flavorful, and visually appealing.
Ingredient Sourcing
Purchase fresh, high-quality ingredients from trusted suppliers.
- Manage pantry inventory and maintain stock levels.
Kitchen Management
Helps and assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
- Ensure proper food storage and compliance with food safety standards.
Special Requests
Prepare meals for special occasions, events, or guests.
- Helps in preparation for dietary needs (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, low-sodium).
Budget Management
Helps in working within an agreed-upon food budget.
- Track expenses and provide reports if required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a private cook or Kitchen Assistant.
- Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation (preferred).
