Job Summary

The Manual QA will be responsible for validating software quality. The role emphasizes strong API testing skills, ensuring that integrations, services, and data flows operate as expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or similar to validate endpoints, payloads, authentication, and integrations.
  • Validate request/response data, status codes, error handling, business logic, and backend workflows.
  • Perform regression, functional, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
  • Execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and backend processes.
  • Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and ensure quality coverage.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
  • Review requirement documents and provide QA-related feedback for better testability.
  • Maintain test documentation, reports, and QA metrics.
  • Support UAT and coordinate with stakeholders for release validation.
  • Identify gaps in testing processes and contribute suggestions for continuous improvement.

QualificationsMust Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Manual QA or Software Testing.
  • Strong experience in API testing and tools like Postman or Swagger.
  • Solid understanding of HTTP methods, JSON/XML structure, request/response validation.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries for data verification.
  • Understanding of STLC, SDLC, and defect lifecycle.
  • Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
