Duties And Responsibilities:
Coordinates and supervises the maintenance of equipment, buildings, roads, fences, facilities, amenities, parks, and grounds. Ensures that all maintenance related activities are well supervised, monitored, meet requirements, and completed on time.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Coordinates and facilitates village building and ground repairs and maintenance. This includes assisting with plumbing, drainage, utility, electrical systems, air conditioning, ventilation, pumps, structural integrity, and general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, grass cutting, tree pruning, wood chipping, organic waste and garbage hauling, leaf shredding, vermicomposting, landscaping, tree maintenance, and other grounds maintenance activities.
- Groundskeeping and Landscaping: Oversees the maintenance of village grounds, including landscaping, weeding, grass cutting, planting, trimming trees and shrubs. Ensures the cleanliness and attractiveness of clubhouses, amenities and other common structures or areas within the village.
- Inspections: Inspects village buildings and grounds on a regular basis to ensure compliance with regulations, codes, village rules and regulations, and restrictions. Identify issues and concerns, take corrective actions, and keep records of inspections and maintenance activities.
- Team Supervision: Leads a group of maintenance technicians or workers. Provides team members with guidance, direction, and support, assigning tasks and ensuring that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Contractor Management: Supervise contractors when specialized repairs or maintenance tasks are required. Coordinates with Purchasing to solicit bids and supervise the quality and timeliness of work performed by service provider.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborates with internal and external customers. Communicate maintenance schedules, updates, and issues to all concerned parties, and address any concerns or requests related to building and grounds maintenance of the village.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making: Responsible for problem solving and making maintenance-related decisions. Analyze problems, recommend solutions, and make informed decisions based on resources and constraints. Involves team members in problem-solving processes to encourage collaboration and group decision-making.
- Maintenance Planning: Assists in evaluating the state of the village's buildings and grounds and recommend maintenance plans. Identifies maintenance requirements, prioritize tasks, and recommend maintenance schedules.
- Budgeting and Inventory Management: Assists in budget planning related to building and grounds maintenance activities. Estimates costs for repairs, maintenance supplies, and equipment. Manages an inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are properly maintained and replenished as needed.
- Record-Keeping and Documentation: Maintains accurate records and documentation related to building and grounds maintenance. This includes records of building and grounds related maintenance action such as grounds maintenance, park maintenance, repairs, maintenance schedules, equipment inventories, routine inspections.
- Emergency Response: In the event of emergencies or natural disasters, may be responsible for assessing damage, coordinating repairs, and ensuring the safety of village buildings and grounds. They may collaborate with emergency services and disaster response teams as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
