Key Responsibilities:

1. Receiving and Inspection

  • Receive deliveries of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished products.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery documents (Delivery Receipts, Purchase Orders, Invoices).
  • Inspect the quality and condition of items received; report discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Ensure that all incoming materials are properly labelled and logged in the warehouse inventory system.

2. Storage and Inventory Management

  • Store all materials in designated areas following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse at all times.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels and report shortages or overages promptly.

3. Issuance and Dispatch

  • Prepare and issue raw and packaging materials to production based on approved requisitions.
  • Pick, pack, and stage finished goods for delivery according to dispatch schedules.
  • Ensure that all outgoing goods are properly documented and meet quality and quantity requirements.

4. Documentation and Record-Keeping

  • Accurately record all warehouse transactions (receipts, issuances, transfers, and returns).
  • Maintain updated inventory records using manual logs or the company's ERP/inventory system.
  • Prepare warehouse reports as required by the Warehouse Supervisor or Management.

5. Compliance and Safety

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety Standards (such as HACCP), and 5S principles in all warehouse activities.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols to prevent accidents and contamination.
  • Participate in regular cleaning and sanitation activities in the warehouse.

Qualifications:

  • Education: - At least High School Graduate; Vocational or College Level in Logistics, Warehousing, or related field is an advantage.
  • Experience: - Minimum of 1–2 years experience as a warehouseman or storekeeper, preferably in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Knowledge/Skills:
  • Familiar with inventory systems and warehouse documentation.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and GMP standards.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift – if certified).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physically fit; able to lift and move heavy materials safely.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, inventory software preferred).
