Essential Functions

  • Ensure housekeeping procedures and training checklists are in place, maintained and adhered to.
  • Assists in the creation of budgets, manage labor, conduct regular inventory checks & audits, and develop progression plans.
  • Report deficiencies in a timely manner and maintain detailed logs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure focus is on cost saving measures and quality products.
  • Ensure deep cleaning project tracking & accurate billing is in place.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Ensure policies and standard operating procedures are followed consistently and look for areas of opportunity.
  • Inspect the environment within the organization to ensure it meets the minimum best practice throughout the organization
  • Stand-in for any member of staff that is unavailable to carry out their duties in order to prevent any unfilled gap
  • Responsible for ensuring dirty laundries are timelessly and appropriately cleaned
  • Order supplies for the housekeeping department
  • Ensure efficient use of departmental resources
  • Direct all housekeeping activities
  • Be responsible for efficient and orderly management of cleaning, servicing and repairing of guest rooms.
  • Be responsible for hotel linen and check its movement and distribution to room attendants.
  • Keep an inventory of all housekeeping supplies and check it regularly.
  • Provide front office list of ready rooms for allotment to guests.
  • Update records/files/registers etc.
  • Check the VIP and OOO rooms
