Restaurant Supervisor – Basil Thai Restaurant

The Restaurant Supervisor plays a key role in delivering Basil's signature warm Thai hospitality and ensuring a smooth, well-orchestrated dining experience. This role supports the Restaurant Manager in leading daily operations, guiding the service team, maintaining quality and cleanliness, and ensuring guests feel genuinely cared for from arrival to departure.

Key ResponsibilitiesService & Guest Experience

  • Supervise the dining floor to ensure gracious, attentive, and efficient service aligned with Basil's hospitality standards.
  • Manage seating flow, table assignments, and waiting lists to balance comfort and turnover.
  • Check on guests throughout their meal, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns with professionalism and genuine care.
  • Support staff during peak hours by assisting with serving, bussing, or cashiering when needed.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead pre-shift briefings to review menu specials, recommendations, best-selling dishes, and service priorities.
  • Coach service staff on Thai-inspired hospitality—warm greetings, attentiveness, and respectful communication.
  • Train and guide new employees on Basil's service style, table etiquette, and brand culture.
  • Ensure staff follow grooming and uniform guidelines that reflect Basil's clean and polished aesthetic.

Coordination with Kitchen

  • Communicate clearly with the kitchen regarding guest preferences, allergies, spice levels, and special requests.
  • Monitor ticket times to maintain steady, timely service.
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen to resolve issues such as order delays or dish replacements.

Operations & Cash Handling

  • Assist with cashiering, end-of-day reconciliation, and shift reports.
  • Ensure proper use of the POS system, accurate order entry, and correct bill-out processes.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures to ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and ready for service.

Dining Area Upkeep & Inventory

  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and ambiance in the dining room consistent with Basil's atmosphere.
  • Conduct checks on utensils, condiments, tableware, and service stations; coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues (lights, AC, fixtures, furniture) for timely action.

Quality & Brand Standards

  • Ensure dishes are served according to Basil's quality and presentation guidelines.
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
  • Maintain Basil's brand standards in service delivery, guest interaction, and overall dining environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 1–2 years supervisory experience in casual dining or similar restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with a warm, composed, and guest-focused demeanor.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and shift documentation.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced floor while maintaining Basil's calm and welcoming service style.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php20,000.00 per month
