tool keeper

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented tool keeper to join our team on-site. This role is crucial to the smooth and safe operation of our projects, as you'll be the central point of contact for all tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, organize, and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all tools and equipment on the job site.
• Issue and receive tools from workers, accurately documenting all check-outs and returns.
• Perform routine inspections to check for wear, damage, or malfunction and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure tool storage area, ensuring all tools are properly stored.
• Track and report on inventory levels, identifying tools that need to be reordered.
• Enforce site safety protocols related to tool handling and usage.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of proven experience in tool management on a construction or industrial site.
• Strong knowledge of common hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software or systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.
