QA Engineer

Work Setup: Remote (Philippines-based)

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products. You will design and execute test plans, identify defects, and collaborate with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tools such as Jira or TestRail
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved
  • Participate in requirements reviews to provide feedback on testability and potential risks
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards
  • Maintain clear and organized test documentation
  • Support deployment validation and post-release verification
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA for software applications
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and QA best practices
  • Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, PyTest) is a plus
  • Familiarity with web, mobile, and cloud-based applications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills

Preferred Certifications

  • ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification
  • Automation testing certifications or experience
  • Agile/Scrum experience or certifications
