The Vice President for Finance (VP Finance) is a key member of the executive management team, responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company. This includes financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, treasury, risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The VP Finance provides strategic financial leadership to support the company's long-term growth, profitability, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide the CEO and Executive Team with financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support business expansion and sustainability.
Financial Management & Operations
  • Oversee the company's financial and accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage budgeting and cost control processes, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory requirements.
  • Supervise treasury functions including cash flow management, investments, and banking relationships.
  • Oversee risk management, internal controls, and compliance systems to safeguard company assets.
Business Partnership & Growth Support
  • Collaborate with other business units to evaluate financial impact of projects, contracts, and investments.
  • Support fundraising, capital structuring, and financing initiatives.
  • Provide financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure succession planning and talent development within the Finance Department.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification highly desirable.
  • At least 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance.
  • Proven track record in financial strategy, business planning, and risk management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and decision-making ability.
