Clinical Inpatient

R1 RCM PHILIPPINES, INC. is seeking an experienced trainer with specialized training in E/M- IP and OP, ensuring that trainees achieve a high level of proficiency and meet organizational standards for quality and efficiency, to join our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Train new hires and conduct cross-training sessions to ensure a comprehensive Understanding across different areas.
• Manage bottom quartile performance by identifying training needs and providing targeted education
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs focused on Inpatient, Outpatient, Transplant, Surgery, Oncology, Interventional Radiology, Emergency, and OB-GYN.
• Ensure training content is aligned with current industry standards and best practices.
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Identify training needs and develop educational plans to address them effectively.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to update training materials as necessary.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Maintain detailed records of training activities and progress.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement within the training program.
• Provide guidance and support to trainees, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Assist in the development of training-related documentation and resources.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field (medical allied courses). Advanced degrees or certifications may be preferred.
• Must hold a valid active coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC (CPC and/or CCS)
• Coding/Training Experience: Minimum of overall 5 years' work experience in coding/auditing/training at E/M OP and Inpatient (with subspecialty coding expertise)
• Should possess expertise in multiple specialties, including but not limited to Inpatient, Outpatient, Transplant, Surgery, Oncology, Interventional Radiology, Emergency, and OB-GYN.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to transferknowledge to staff effectively.
• Sound knowledge on different EMRs systems like Athena, Access HIM and Cerner; Analytical Skills & Exhibit Clear Thinking/Reasoning; Articulates & presents his/her thought process well; Feedback and Coaching skills are required; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and other coding systems, including coding guidelines, conventions, and modifier usage.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to accurately assign codes and interpret medical documentation.
• Thorough knowledge of coding regulations, guidelines, and industry standards, including CMS guidelines and payer-specific policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review and interpret complex medical documentation, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate code assignment.
• Keen attention to detail to identify and resolve coding-related issues and ensure accuracy and completeness in code assignment.
• Proficient in using coding software, encoders, and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Familiarity with healthcare billing and practice management software is a plus.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on coding changes, regulations
