Job Summary:
The Aircon Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment. Ensures that all units are functioning efficiently to provide comfort and operational reliability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems (split type, window type, centralized, and industrial units if applicable).
Conduct regular preventive maintenance, including cleaning, checking refrigerant levels, and testing system performance.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in AC units and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
Repair and replace defective parts such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, filters, and electrical components.
Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and materials used in AC servicing.
Respond to service requests and provide timely repair and maintenance support.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations in handling refrigerants.
Keep accurate maintenance records and report activities to supervisors/management.
Qualifications:
High school or vocational graduate; TESDA NCII in Refrigeration and Airconditioning or equivalent certification preferred.
At least 1–2 years of experience in AC installation, maintenance, and repair.
Knowledge in electrical systems, wiring, and refrigeration cycle.
Ability to read technical diagrams and use diagnostic tools.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Physically fit and willing to work on-call or extended hours if required.
