Position Title: Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist at Metrobank, you will gain the following career advantages:

What you will be doing:

• Support new data-driven initiatives by using sound statistical supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques in coming up with data models that allow the bank to improve customer experience, engagement, retention, and overall customer lifetime value.
• Help pioneer the bank's machine learning models using data science tools such as but not limited to SAS Viya (Visual Analytics, Visual Statistics, and Visual Data Mining & Machine Learning), R, Python, and Azure Machine Learning Studio.
• Refine data science problem statements after requirements-gathering with business users and determine the appropriate models to respond to the problem statement.
• Determine and specify the data needed to answer the problem statement, identifying potential input variables or predictors and response variables.
• Wrangle available data and prepare them for modeling.
• Evaluate various models and recommend a model based on its performance, ability to respond to problem statement, or interpretability.
• Prepare business-facing reports on the recommended models (at times assisting in explaining the recommendations to business users).
• Assist in deploying and operationalizing recommended models, designing and implementing processes that ensure business users' continued usage of recommended or refined models.
• Assist in periodically refining deployed models in production.

Qualifications:

• Education and experience in a data-heavy field, such as (but not limited to) Math, Statistics, Economics, Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science.
• Good understanding of the theory behind machine learning models and their applicability in various situations.
• Prior experience as data analyst or data scientist preferred.
• Proficiency in analytics and data visualization tools such as (but not limited to) SAS, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlikview.
• Programming experience (SQL, SAS Script, R, or Python) is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with various analytical and technical teams.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders of varying seniority levels is an advantage
