As a SEO specialist, your key purpose is to ensure optimized visibility for websites through executing keyword research and analysis, creating backlinks and meta tags, monitoring competitor activity, reporting on website traffic metrics and conversions - all of which will contribute towards delivering an overall effective SEO strategy. The duties you perform each day may vary depending upon the company's individual needs; however this exciting role promises development opportunities that are sure to lead you in your desired career direction.

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and algorithms: Understanding how search engines work and the best practices for optimizing a website for search engines.
  • Keyword research: Ability to identify relevant keywords and phrases for a website and use them effectively in content and meta tags.
  • Content optimization: Ability to optimize website content for both search engines and users.
  • Technical SEO: Understanding of the technical aspects of SEO, such as website structure, meta tags, and redirects.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyze competitor websites, search engine rankings, and website traffic and conversions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Writing and Communication: ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Web Development: Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which are crucial for the optimization of a website's structure and layout.
  • Marketing: Knowledge of digital marketing principles, including SEO, PPC, and social media marketing.
  • Adaptability: SEO is a constantly evolving field, so the ability to adapt to new trends and updates is important.
  • Project management: Ability to plan, execute, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Daily Workload


• On-Page SEO Tasks:

  • Keyword Research : Identify relevant keywords and phrases for website content, ensuring alignment with the target audience's search intent.
  • Content Optimization: Improve website content, meta tags, titles, and descriptions to enhance relevance and search engine rankings.
  • Technical SEO: Audit and optimize site speed, mobile-friendliness, URL structures, internal linking, and crawlability.
  • Schema Markup: Implement structured data to help search engines better understand the website's content.
  • Image Optimization: Compress and add descriptive alt tags to images to improve page load times and accessibility.

     


• Off-Page SEO Tasks:

  • Competitor Analysis: Analyze competitor websites to identify backlink opportunities and understand their SEO strategies.
  • Link Building: Create high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites to improve domain authority and search engine visibility.
  • Social Signals: Promote website content on social platforms to generate engagement and increase referral traffic.
  • Local SEO: Optimize Google My Business, build local citations, and gather reviews to enhance visibility in local search results.


• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Rank Tracking: Monitor search engine rankings and identify trends or areas needing improvement.
  • Traffic Analysis: Report on website traffic, user behavior, and conversions to measure the effectiveness of SEO efforts.
  • Strategy Refinement: Collaborate with the team to adjust and enhance the SEO strategy based on performance insights and trends.


• Client Communication:

  • Prepare detailed reports and updates for clients, covering ranking improvements, traffic growth, and achieved milestones.
  • Suggest actionable insights for further optimization and discuss the long-term roadmap for SEO success.
