Barista

Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality espresso-based beverages and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced café environment. This role contributes to maintaining product quality, innovating new drinks, supporting daily café operations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Overall Responsibilities

1. Beverage Preparation and Quality

2. Prepare espresso-based coffee and other beverages according to company standards.

3. Ensure consistent quality of all drinks and food items served.
4. Innovate and contribute to the development of new drinks, with potential incentives for approved creations.

5. Customer Service

6. Provide friendly and professional service by greeting customers, taking orders, preparing food and drinks, and handling cashier operations when needed.

7. Address customer inquiries and feedback courteously and professionally.

8. Operational Support and Multi-Tasking

9. Work efficiently in a busy café environment, performing multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality output.

10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, café kiosk, and workstations.
11. Assist with other operational duties as required by the Team Leader or Café Manager.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree or vocational certificate in a related field.
• Prior experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
• Must have Barista experience or willingness to learn barista skills.
• Coffee enthusiast with knowledge of espresso-based drinks is highly desired.
• Cash handling experience is an advantage.

• Work Schedule: Rotational shifts including weekends, holidays, and peak café hours.
• Work Environment: Fast-paced café environment requiring standing for extended periods.
• Supervision: Reports directly to the Team Leader / Café Manager.
