The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing the feasibility of IT projects and defining functional solutions based on business requirements. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and the IT team by gathering, validating, and communicating requirements for changes in business processes, policies, and information systems. The Senior Business Analyst ensures that proposed solutions align with organizational objectives and technological capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate business needs, translating them into detailed functional and technical requirements that align with current or proposed IT systems.
  • Prepare functional specifications and system design documentation, ensuring technical viability and compliance with integration standards.
  • Design IT solutions that address business process changes, system enhancements, or new implementations.
  • Plan, execute, and manage system testing (including UAT) to ensure that new or modified configurations meet defined business requirements and minimize implementation risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to define requirements, develop business cases, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Create and maintain business process models to represent current and future states.
  • Recommend system improvements and process enhancements based on analysis and best practices.
  • Communicate requirements, project updates, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, business users, and executive leadership.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Support system migration and implementation projects, ensuring successful adoption and alignment with business goals.

Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and gather detailed requirements.
  • Create use cases, user stories, process flows, and other documentation using industry-standard tools.
  • Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability and quality.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions between IT and business units.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on business processes and IT systems.
  • Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, executing test cases, and validating outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Experience with system migration, implementation, and project management is an advantage.
  • Background in the Non-life Insurance industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in requirements gathering, documentation, and process modeling.
  • Experienced in using tools such as JIRA, Visio, or similar platforms.
  • Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or other business analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
